The Worship Ministry at Harvest seeks to maximize our passion for God and His greatness and equip our people to live lives that place Jesus Christ first in heart, mind, and action. Our church gathers to worship God corporately on the weekend and scatters the rest of the week to worship Him wherever He has placed us.
Mission
The worship ministry of Harvest Bible Chapel exists to help our people encounter the sufficiency and express the supremacy of Christ in all things.
Vision
“Worship” is the term we use to cover all the acts of the heart, mind, and body that express the infinite worth of God and give Him glory. This general term is made more specific in our “worship services.” We sing songs, bring offerings, hear and obey God’s Word, and reorient our lives based on God’s infinite worth.
Values
Bible Saturation
We claim the Bible as the final authority and ultimate resource for a Worship Ministry, and purpose to build it on a Scriptural foundation. The content of our singing and praying and welcoming and preaching will always conform to the truth of Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16).
Head and Heart
Our worship services seek to combine clear thinking about spiritual truth and authentic emotions towards God (Matthew 22:37).
Contemporary Without Compromise
We encourage vibrant and expressive worship that magnifies the Lord, seeking God-honoring excellence in every aspect of our ministry. While appreciating history, we are committed to relevant forms of worship and ministry that corresponds to what God is doing in our current generation and culture (Psalm 40: 3, 98:1, 149:1). We do all of this while standing firm on the foundation of Jesus Christ and the Word.
Reality
Our services strive to create an atmosphere for a radically personal encounter with the God of truth. We pursue reverence, passion, and wonder (Psalm 96).
Transparency
We want for the greatness of God to shine through our worship rather than a focus on the worship team. Our trust is in our Message, not ourselves as messengers. We pursue excellence and preparedness while avoiding the sense of performing to our people (Psalm 115:1).
Areas of Service
There are currently 2 distinct areas of the Worship Ministry where a person can volunteer to serve.
Worship Team
It is this team’s responsibility to set the table for our people to encounter God in our corporate worship events. This group is comprised of both vocalists and instrumentalists and they meet weekly to prepare both musically and spiritually.
Creative Arts Ministry
Creative Arts at Harvest Bible Chapel is about ministry first. The role of the Creative Arts Ministry is to communicate the message of God’s truth without distraction. The media forms involved on this team are audio, video projection, and graphics.
