Biblical Counseling

There are times in life where you just need a helping hand.

There are times in life where you just need a helping hand. That's pretty normal. We all need a word of encouragement or a place to simply share our struggles. Some people can be doing pretty well in some areas of their lives and still struggle in other areas.

Is that you? If so, now might be a time when you need someone to come beside you and encourage you from the Bible—God's Word.

We believe in the sufficiency of God’s Word to handle issues of life. We follow the Bible’s description of man as a fallen creature living in a fallen world. The solution for living in this world is found in God’s Word.

While we think counseling is highly personal we don’t think it should be so private that it excludes those we love and do life with. Scripture challenges us to lean into Christ and to bear one another’s burdens. The advocate model is a great avenue for encouraging community and helping hurting individuals within the church to realize they do not have to walk their journey, trial, or crisis alone. "Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called "today," that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end." Hebrews 3:12-14

To do this, we do our main counseling in the context of Life Groups

Here at Harvest Bible Chapel Biblical Counseling Ministry, our counselors are trained to lead you to Scriptures that deal directly with the issues you are facing. We want to show you where the Bible says you are, where the Bible says you should be, and most importantly how to get there. Our biblical counselors are not psychologists or psychiatrists but have received formal training in biblical counseling by The National Association of Nouthetic Counselors, a national organization committed to the quality of counseling offered by its members.
